Installation of AIS 650 and antena spliter
I am in the process of installing an AIS 650 and and an antenna spliter. The AIS 650 is connected to a backbone which originates from a five way connector behind the multi functional display. At the end of the backbone I have a five way connector which I am using to connect the spur cable to the AIS 650 unit.
Do I still need to install the individual power wiring provided for each the AIS 650 and the splitter?

RE: Installation of AIS 650 and antena spliter
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum,

Q. Do I still need to install the individual power wiring provided for each the AIS 650 and the splitter?
A. Yes. Neither the AIS650 nor the AIS100 Antenna Splitter are designed to be powered from a SeaTalkng / NEMA 2000 backbone. Accordingly, these devices will need to be powered via their respective power cables.
