[CA11] Quantum vs Quantum 2 at seeing rain
From a previous post Steve stated:
"With the lower power it will not be as good as a 4kW HD radar at seeing soft targets at distance (e.g. birds, rain, etc.) From our testing the maximum range Quantum has been able to identify a rain storm is approximately 6 miles." Does this still hold true for the new Quantum 2 radomes? Weighing my options between a Quantum 2 vs a RD418HD. RE: [CA11] Quantum vs Quantum 2 at seeing rain
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum,
With respect to seeing soft targets at distance (e.g. birds, rain, etc.), the performance of the Quantum 2 radome will be very similar to that of the Quantum radome. |
