[CA11] Readings at planing speeds.
I have DS600X with an Airmar P66 transducer. I mounted the transducer according full the manufacturer's instructions, with about an 1/8 inch showing below the transom. It's mounted on an 1999 18' Lund Alaskan SS with a 1999 johnson 2 stroke 40.

I get depth readings at slower speed, maybe up to 10 to 12 knots, especially if the boat is fully loaded. If im alone, and cruising at 18 to 20 knots, i lose the depth reading. Is it unrealistic to expect to be able to get readings at higher speeds? Are there things i can do to promote this?

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum dvto2,

The symptom which you have reported is not at all uncommon for those with shallow drafting vessels equipped with transom mounted transducers when operating at planing speeds. Please click here to view a FAQ addressing this subject.
