Check valves ?
Installing the EV-100 power unit, will be picking up appropriate "T" fittings for my seatstar steering install this afternoon. Is it necessary to install check valves into the system ? Is the purpose to prevent the steering wheel from turning under autopilot control ? So the point of install would be between the "T" and the helm ?
Thank you Ray

RE: Check valves ?
How old is the the boat or the steering system?

Usually systems around 1995 or newer already for the check valves installed in the system, boats or steering systems older than that would require the installation of the check value up stream from the autopilot pump, to lock the wheel.

RE: Check valves ?
Thank you Steve, The boat is a 2008, so I'll get the pump mounted and plumbed next week when the fittings and hoses come in. Then see how it acts. Now I'll go to the MFD section to ask about my display tie in.
