[CA11] Looking to add 2nd display and M232, questions
2014 510 Sundancer
Has a single e125

Would like to add another one (e125 or?) and an M232 camera

Thoughts on doubling up the e125 or putting an axiom in for a 2nd screen

Also, what other parts should I expect to purchase other than the screen/cam/poe injector?

TIA
Nick

RE: [CA11] Looking to add 2nd display and M232, questions
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Nick,

The e125 MFD may be interfaced via Ethernet communications to any model of a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD and both MFDs should be configured to run LightHouse II v19.03 software. Doing so will support sharing of all system data and resources except for composite NTSC/PAL video. The a/c/e-Series MFDs cannot be interfaced via Ethernet communications to an Axiom / Axiom Pro/Axiom XL MFD. Most will elect to install an a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD for use with an already installed a/c/e-Series MFD.

The FLIR M232 Thermal Camera is compatible with both a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs running LightHouse II v19.03 software as well as with Axiom/Axiom Pro/Axiom XL MFDs. However, if seeking to use FLIR ClearCruiseâ„¢ Thermal Analytics associated with the FLIR M232 Thermal Camera, than the FLIR M232 Thermal Camera must be interfaced to an Axiom/Axiom Pro/Axiom XL MFD. This restriction is documented within the ClearCruise Thermal Analytics announcement found here.

There is no need for a JCU with the FLIR M232 Thermal Camera, as it is designed to be controlled and configured via the system's MFDs. The M232 will be connected to the MFD via an appropriate length of RayNet (F) to RayNet (F) Cable. One need simply connect the M232's power cable to a power circuit to supply it with power

RE: [CA11] Looking to add 2nd display and M232, questions
Thanks Chuck!! (sorry for the doubled up post on the multifunction forum)

So the cheapest route would be to add another e125 for sure

What if I wanted to bite the bullet and put 2 new axioms in..?
is there a massive list or just a couple displays and an empty wallet? :)

TIA

Nick

Nick,

Q1. What if I wanted to bite the bullet and put 2 new axioms in..?
A1. Please click here to view a FAQ addressing this subject.

Q2. is there a massive list or just a couple displays and an empty wallet? :)
A2. Please see the FAQ referenced in Q1. Generally, the upgrade to Axiom is fairly simple. Ultimately, the answer lies in knowing the complete list of products which the e125 MFD is presently interfaced to. In some cases, upgrading with Axiom Pro S MFDs is often a bit easier as these MFDs feature two Ethernet ports (as do the e125 MFDs), NMEA 0183 ports, and an analog video input port to support easy integration of any devices which may presently be interface to the e125 MFD's Ethernet, NMEA 0183, or analog video input ports.

Gotcha -
So, no cameras in this install right now, but will be adding that thermal from your offerings

The usual, HD radar and the boats normal NEMA stuff, engine info, etc

Might have to call in just to make sure if that is a possibility

Thanks

Nick
