RV-220 Transducer install
I'm going to install the RV-220 Transducer pair with my Axiom 12 next month when the boat is hauled and the bottom is being painted.
The question is, do I install the transducers over the bottom paint or should I sand it to bare fiberglass where the transducer footprint will be?

RE: RV-220 Transducer install
Hello Vettepro,

I hate to say it but I think that's more a shipwright question than a Raymarine one. Either way won't affect the way the transducer operates, but my feeling is to leave the paint, not sand, in order to protect the hull material.

Regards,
Tom
