[CA11] Fluxgate compass deviating 30 degrees
Hi
The test showed an 18.2 Ohm resistance between screen and blue. Could that be the cause of the 30 degrees tracking error? Is there any way to fix/repair the compass? If not, what are my least expensive alternatives for replacement? Thanks in advance :) |

RE: [CA11] Fluxgate compass deviating 30 degrees
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum osejava,
Please click here to view a FAQ addressing most of the questions which you have asked about the M81190 Fluxgate Compass Q1. The test showed an 18.2 Ohm resistance between screen and blue. Could that be the cause of the 30 degrees tracking error? A1. See the referenced FAQ ... the expected resistance is significantly greater than expect and would be expected to adversely affect performance of the autopilot. Q2. Is there any way to fix/repair the compass? A2. Negative. Q3. If not, what are my least expensive alternatives for replacement? A3. The M81190 Fluxgate Compass is the only fluxgate compass which Raymarine's legacy autopilots have been designed and tested for use with. This fluxgate compass sells for approximately $170 US. |
