Adding fishfinder features within a system of E-Series Classic MFDs
Raymarine's E-Series Classic MFDs operating with the latest available Raymarine product software update are designed to support fishfinder features properly interfaced via Ethernet communications to a CP370, CP300 (retired), DSM30 (retired), or DSM300 (retired) 50kHz/200kHz Fishfinder Sounder Module which has in turn been interfaced to a compatible 50kHz/200kHz fishfinder transducer. The CP370 Fishfinder Sounder Module may be interfaced directly to the MFD via a cable assembly which has been constructed from an appropriate length of SeaTalkhs (M) to RJ45(M) Cable, an E55060 SeaTalkhs Crossover Coupler, and an appropriate length of RayNet (F) to RJ45(M) Cable. Should the MFD need to be interfaced to more than on other device having an Ethernet (SeaTalkhs / RayNet), an Ethernet network switch will need to be included within the system. For systems featuring or requiring an Ethernet Switch (HS5 RayNet Network Switch or SeaTalkhs Network Switch: - The MFD may be interfaced to a HS5 Raynet Network Switch via an assembly constructed from an A80272 RayNet (M) Pins to SThs (M) Socket Adaptor Cable and an appropriate length of RayNet (F) to RayNet (F) Cable. The CP370 Fishfinder Sounder Module may be interfaced directly to a HS5 RayNet Network Switch via an appropriate length of RayNet (F) to RayNet (F) Cable. - The MFD may be interfaced to a SeaTalkhs Network Switch via an appropriate length of SeaTalkhs (M) to RJ45(M) Cable. The CP370 Fishfinder Sounder Module may be interfaced directly a SeaTalkhs Network Switch via an appropriate length of RayNet (F) to RJ45(M) Cable. NOTE: It is not possible to utilize an instrument depth transducer (analog, SeaTalkng, or NMEA 0183/NMEA 2000 Smart Transducer) to support a MFD's fishfinder features. RAYFAQ# |
