[LW11] Adding a Rayamrine Racemaster
Hi, I'm looking at adding a Racemaster to my yacht to help when I'm racing... I understand that it's solar powered... However can I integrate it with my current electronics..

St60 Wind
St60 Close Haul
St60 Tri-Data
A50D Classic
RS125GPS
SHS with gyro...

Most of the network is on seatalk1 however I have a seatalk to seatalk ng converter which integrates the A50D

Thanks in advance

Tim

RE: [LW11] Adding a Rayamrine Racemaster
Dear morepower,

Thank you for your post.

You can connect the Raymarine wireless range to a network via the Wireless Gateway, more information is available here.

This can connect directly to a white port on your convertor and share the data across the network.

Many Thanks
Louise

RE: [LW11] Adding a Rayamrine Racemaster
Thanks Louise, So just confirm.... If I integrate the Raymarine Micro Talk then the Racemaster T070 mast unit can be connected via this hub to the current Raymarine Electronics package...
If this is the case, I presume that the wind data from the mast head unit with be displayed on the T070 instead of having to 'program' the wind direction via the usual button on the T070

Thanks in advance

Tim

Dear morepower,

Thank you for your post.

The T070 will repeat the wind data from your ST60 instruments via the converter and wireless gateway.

Many Thanks
Louise

RE: [LW11] Adding a Rayamrine Racemaster
Thanks Louise...

Just a quick one... will the wireless gateway enable the Racemaster to feed it's compass heading back to the plotter... Therefore enabling me to remove the old style gyro compass and smart heading system unit?...
Or will I need to remove the gyro/shs and replace with something like the EV1 unit or AR200...

Thanks in advance

Kind Regards

Tim

RE: [LW11] Adding a Rayamrine Racemaster
Dear morepower,

Thanlk you for your post.

The micro gateway will receive the heading data from the racemaster at 2hertz over a wireless network. The gateway will convert this to STng and increase the refresh rate to 10hertz. Therefore outputting fast heading data across your network.

You can remove your other compass if you wish, what is it? Is it from a pilot?

Many Thanks
Louise
