E7D v17 not connecting to Android HotSpot
Good Morning
I am unable to connect the E7D with latest v17 (downloaded and updated 1 week ago) to my Android's hotspot. I've tried both encrypted and open connections. At same time my Android tablet sees the hotspot. It does see and can connect to my Linksys router. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Jon |

RE: E7D v17 not connecting to Android HotSpot
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum PGIJon,
The problem may be associated with the naming of the Wi-Fi hotspot. What is the name of your Android hotspot? |

RE: E7D v17 not connecting to Android HotSpot
PGIJon,
I configured my Android smartphone (Motorola Moto X w/Android v5.1) as a Wi-Fi hotspot with the hotspot name which you had responded with. I was successful in connecting to it my e-Series MFD (v17.45). It is recommended that your phone be checked to ensure that it has the latest Android software. If so, then please specify that model of Android phone and Android operating system version in order that a problem report may be logged. |

RE: E7D v17 not connecting to Android HotSpot
PGIJon,
Thanks for the requested information. A problem report will be logged accordingly to seek correction of this problem within a future a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD software update. |
