Interfacing a Rockford Fosgate stereo receiver to a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD
Interfacing a Rockford Fosgate stereo receiver to a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD
Chapter 22 - Audio Application of the LightHouse Release 17 Operation Instructions provides details of how compatible Rockford Fosgate stereo receivers may be interfaced to an a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD which has been updated with v17.45 or later a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD software. The Audio application may be used to remotely control a compatible Rockford Fosgate stereo receiver. Raymarine has designed and tested the LightHouse II R17 and LightHouse 3 software to be compatible with Rockford Fosgate's PMX-5CAN Punch Marine AM/FM/WB Digital Media Receiver. In short, the Rockford Fosgate's PMX-5CAN may be interfaced to Rockford Fosgate's PMX-CAN accessory to provide the PMX-5CAN with a NMEA 2000 communications interface through which the MFD may communicate. The PMX-CAN may in turn be interfaced a spur to a powered and properly terminated SeaTalkng backbone to which the MFD as also been interfaced as a spur. Raymarine offers the A06075 1m DeviceNet (F) to SeaTalkng Spur Cable and A06045 0.4m DeviceNet (F) to SeaTalkng Spur Cable to support interfacing third party products featuring a NMEA 2000 communications interface having DeviceNet Micro-C male plugs as a spur to a SeaTalkng backbone. Either of these two cables may be used to interface the PMX-CAN as a spur to the aforementioned backbone. simple backbone may be constructed from the following components: - A06064 SeaTalkng 5-Way Connector - A06031 SeaTalkng Termination Plugs x 2 - A06049 SeaTalkng Power Cable - an appropriate length of SeaTalkng Spur Cable of appropriate length to interface the Data Master MFD to the SeaTalkng 5-Way Connector - A06045 or A06075 DeviceNet (F) to SeaTalkng Spur Adapter Cable to interface the PMX-CAN to the SeaTalkng 5-Way Connector.
