RE: Upgrading from 2001 Raytheon
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Jeff,

Your equipment list looks good with the following comments:
- Regarding the Raystar 130 Converter Retro Pack, it is recommended that an E32153 RayStar 130 GPS Sensor alone be purchased. This item will simply be interfaced as a spur to the powered and properly terminated SeaTalkng backbone to which the Ray70, i70, and a127 will each also be interfaced as spurs.
- Regarding the Raymarine VHF NMEA 0183 to SeaTalkng Kit, as the Raystar 130 GPS Sensor will be interfaced to the SeaTalkng backbone along with the Ray70, the Ray70 will pick up GPS data from this GPS sensor via the SeaTalkng backbone. As such, the Raymarine VHF NMEA 0183 to SeaTalkng Kit would not be needed.
- Regarding GA150 GPS antenna - not required (redundant) as a result of installing the Raystar 130 GPS Sensor.

RE: Upgrading from 2001 Raytheon
Actually purchased and began installation of the following:
A127 Multifunction Display Package / Lighthouse charts E70236-LNC
B60 (20 degree) - Sonar Transducer Through-Hull E66087
i50 Depth Instrument Display E70059
RMK-9 Multifunction Display Remote Control A80217
RD418HD 4kW HD Digital Radome T70168
Ray70 Fixed Mount VHF Radio with GPS and AIS E70251
Hailing Horn M95435
GA150 GPS Receiver A80288
SeaTalkng Starter Kit T70134
Radar to 'RayNet & Power' cable 5M long A80227
I would like to verify wiring sequence as detailed here:
Five Way Connector Bar A06064 from SeaTalkng Starter Kit T70134
Install Blue Terminator End Caps in Five Way Connector Bar in Positions 1 and 5
A127 Multifunction Display Package / Lighthouse charts E70236-LNC
Connect B60 Transducer
Connect SeaTalkng white connection to Five Way Connector Bar Position 2
Connect Radome to Network 1 with Raynet cable
Connect RMK 9 to Network 2 with Raynet cable
Connect A127 power cable to circuit breaker
Connect GA150 GPS Receiver
Ray70 Fixed Mount VHF Radio with GPS and AIS E70251
Connect SeaTalkng white connection to Five Way Connector Bar Position 3
Connect Hailing Horn M95435
Connect Ray70 power cable to circuit breaker
i50 Depth Instrument Display E70059
Connect SeaTalkng white connection to Five Way Connector Bar Position 4
RD418HD 4kW HD Digital Radome T70168
Install Raynet cable to A127 Network 1 position
Install power cable to circuit breaker with fuse
RMK-9 Multifunction Display Remote Control A80217
Install Raynet cable to A127 Network 2 position
Install power cable to circuit breaker with fuse
B60 (20 degree) - Sonar Transducer Through-Hull E66087
Connect B60 transducer cable to A127
GA150 GPS Receiver A80288
Connect GA150 GPS Receiver to A127
Does the i50 require separate power?
Are the other components powered correctly?
Thanks for your time and comments, Jeff Helmling

-Ray70 Fixed Mount VHF Radio with GPS and AIS E70251
----- Connect SeaTalkng white connection to Five Way Connector Bar Position 3
----- Connect Hailing Horn M95435
----- Connect Ray70 power cable to circuit breaker

-i50 Depth Instrument Display E70059
-----Connect SeaTalkng white connection to Five Way Connector Bar Position 4

-RD418HD 4kW HD Digital Radome T70168
----- Install Raynet cable to A127 Network 1 position
----- Install power cable to circuit breaker with fuse

- RMK-9 Multifunction Display Remote Control A80217

-B60 (20 degree) - Sonar Transducer Through-Hull E66087
----- Connect B60 transducer cable to A127

- GA150 GPS Receiver A80288
----- Connect GA150 GPS Receiver to A127

Q1: Does the i50 require separate power?
A1: No. The i50 will be powered via the SeaTalkng backbone

Q2: Are the other components powered correctly?
A2: The SeaTalkng backbone should be powered from a switched 12VDC power circuit. The SeaTalkng Power Cable supplied with the SeaTalkng Starter Kit may be used for this purpose. It woudl simply be plugged into one of the white spur sockets of the SeaTalkng backbone.

RE: Upgrading from 2001 Raytheon
Thank you for your prompt response. I will purchase another 5 Way connector, a backbone cable, and two blanking plugs to provide power to the SeaTalk NG set up.
