Does an i50 (speed display) instrument need a speed water transducer, or can it be set up to read GPS speed from the Axiom display?

Yes, the i50 Speed or Tridata can display GPS SOG. On a Speed display this is one of the pages of data that you can select by pressing the Display key, on a Tridata you choose SOG as the source of speed data in Dealer Calibration.
