Q. Wish the Yamaha to Axiom pro would be as simple not requiring a Command link set up for $1000 and Yamaha command gauges for the Raymarine system to listen in on the communication for it to display the same info on the Axiom Pro 6" away.
A. In fact, this is not the case. While it is necessary to install a powered and properly terminated Command Link or Command Link Plus backbone, it is not necessary to install any Yamaha gauges. Raymarine's ECI-100 or Yamaha's Engine Gateway may then be interfaced between the Command Link / Command Link Plus backbone and the marine electronics backbone.
