18" or 24" HD Radome?
I was all set to get the 18" HD Digital Radome and then I read that the 24" would be better because of the narrower beam width.
I know it may be hard to quantify how much better it may be, but is it substantial enough to even notice a difference, particularly when using the new "bird mode"?

RE: 18" or 24" HD Radome?
Vettepro,

The larger array of the 24" radomes translate into narrower beam width, making for sharper returns. This also makes it more likely radar imaging for objects located in close proximity to one another to be rendered as individual targets rather than a single larger target. That said, the RD418HD quite regularly purchased by fishermen for spotting birds.
