[CC] [CC11] Axiom Pro 12 RVX Data Master

We just added two (2) Axiom Pro 12 RVXs. One with Navionics and the other with Lighthouse cartography. We also added the Evolution autopilot package for Volvo IPS. Remaining Existing hardware is Raymarine 48” open array HD radar, Raymarine AIS 650, depth transducer, and two Icom VHFs and Volvo/Garmin 8” mfd engine display. The Raymarine gear is on STNG, the Volvo/Garmin is on a NMEA2000 single node. The icoms connect to one Axiom each via NMEA0183. The NMEA2000 and STNG are connected data connected (power is isolated).

I would like to use the Navionics Axiom as system master because a) I already have a paid up subscription (12/20) to Navionics for chart updates, and b) use an iPad with Navionics app for route planning.

Does it matter which of the two is data master? On the pair of E120Ws the Axioms replaced, besides routes and waypoints, the cartography replicated from the master to slave. Will this continue with Navionics showing on both if the Navionics Axiom is chosen as master?

The boat has twin Volvo D6 engines with IPS pods (EVC-C) with a Volvo made NMEA 2000 Gateway. The installer replaced the Volvo made autopilot gateway used with the replaced Smartpilot S3G with an ECI-100 for the Evolution AP. Which NMEA 2000 interface will the Axioms use? Can a specific one be specified?

A1-It does not matter

A2-The Navionics will be available to both displays. It does not matter which is the master.

A3-The ECI-100 is the interface the Axioms use. The ECI-100 acts as both a gateway for the autopilot and engine information.
