Waypoint on Radar

I turned on show waypoints in my radar setup and set all waypoints to show. But none of them show on my radar screen. Am I misunderstanding what it should show? I am feeling fairly stupid right now at what I could be missing.

In order for a MFD to display waypoints and AIS targets within the Radar application, the MFD must be interfaced to a source of Heading data (not to be confused with GPS COG). Your list of products did not include a source of heading data. Please click here to view a FAQ addressing this subject.
