Using Quantum radar via wifi and using mobile apps simulaneously.
I'm considering purchasing one of the Quantum radars for my boat. If I were to connect the Quantum to my a78 via wifi, would I still be able to use the RayRemote and RayControl apps on my mobile devices simultaneously?

RE: Using Quantum radar via wifi and using mobile apps simulaneously.
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Scoffer,
It is not possible to simultaneously use the Raymarine mobile apps to communicate with a MFD which has been wirelessly interfaced to a Quantum radome. However, should the system feature another compatible MFD which has been interfaced via Ethernet communications to the system, then they will share system data and resources. It would accordingly be recommended that one MFD be dedicated to pairing with the Quantum radome and that another of the system's MFDs be used for WiFi communications with the mobile device running the Raymarine Mobile App. |
