existing transducer
I recently purchased a boat with an existing transducer installed. It is a E66020 31-231-8-01 rev A. Is this compatible with the DSM300 or CP300? I would like to interface one of these modules with an a9x series MFD.

RE: existing transducer
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum flukeslayer,

The E66020 version of the B744V transducer is indeed compatible with any of the following:
- CP370
- CP300 (retired)
- DSM300 (retired)
- DSM30 (retired)

All of the above may be interfaced via Ethernet to a system featuring an a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD.

The subject transducer may also be mated (via an E66066 Transducer Adapter) to the transducer socket of any of the currently manufactured and recently retired MFDs:
- ax7 MFDs
- cx7 MFDs
- eSx7 MFDs
- ex7 MFDs (retired)
- e7D MFD (retired)

RE: existing transducer
Does this same adapter convert a DS600x transducer to be able to connect to a C70 MFD?

RE: existing transducer
whittj1,

Unlike the MFDs which I have listed within my earlier response to this thread, C-Series Classic MFDs do not feature a fishfinder Transducer socket. Please click here to view a FAQ addressing how fishfinder features may be added to a C-Series Classic MFD.

RE: existing transducer
Thanks Chuck, Can I connect the DSM 300 directly to the a98? Can I connect the CP300 directly to the a98?

RE: existing transducer
Tom,

Any of the following 50kHz/200kHz fishfinder sounder modules may be interfaced to an a98 MFD:

- E70297 CP370 ... current and recommended for this purpose
- CP300 ... this product is retired and no longer available
- DSM300 ... this product is retired and no longer available
- DSM30 ... this product is retired and no longer available

The CP370 and CP300 may each be interfaced to the Ethernet NETWORK socket of an a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD or an HS5 RayNet Network Switch via an appropriate length of RayNet (F) to RayNet (F) Cable. The DSM300 and DSM30 may each be interfaced to the Ethernet NETWORK socket of an a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD or an HS5 RayNet Network Switch via an assembly constructed from an A80272 RayNet (M) to SeaTalkhs (M) Adapter and appropriate length of RayNet (F) to RayNet (F) Cable.
