RE: Autopilot control head and course computer
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum whittj1,

Please note that ST600x, ST700x, and ST800x autopilot control heads are no longer available and that parts and service are no longer available for these autopilot control heads. These autopilot control heads were compatible with a wide range of autopilot course computers up through Raymarine's SPX autopilot course computers. The ST600x autopilot control heads were designed to provide support for autopilot installed on both power driven and sailing vessels. ST700x and ST800x autopilot control heads differentiate themselves from the ST600x autopilot control heads in that they had larger displays, supported more data pages, and featured additional buttons to provide quicker access to the most commonly used autopilot features (ex. Response, etc.). The ST700x autopilot control head was primarily intended for use onboard sail driven vessels, while the ST800x autopilot control head, with its steering knob (replaces +/-1 and +/-10 dodge buttons found on the ST600x and ST700x), was primarily intended for use onboard power driven vessels. These autopilot control heads will also support use with the retired Type 150, Type 300, S1/S1G/S2/S2G/S3/S3G, and SPX5/10/30 autopilot course computers

The ST70 Autopilot Control Heads were introduced to support Raymarine's SPX autopilot course computers and like the ST600x autopilot control heads, were designed to provide support for autopilot installed on both power driven and sailing vessels. These autopilot control heads will also support use with the retired Type 150, Type 300, and S1/S1G/S2/S2G/S3/S3G autopilot course computers.

The p70/p70S and p70R/p70RS Evolution Autopilot Control Heads were introduced with and are required for use with and Evolution Autopilot system. Like the ST800X autopilot control heads, the p70R/p70RS Evolution Autopilot Control Heads also feature a steering knob (replaces +/-1 and +/-10 dodge buttons found on the p70/p70S), and is primarily intended for use onboard power driven vessels. The p70/p70S and p70R/p70RS Evolution Autopilot Control Heads will also support use with the Type 150, Type 300, S1/S1G/S2/S2G/S3/S3G, and SPX5/10/30 autopilot course computers.

As there is limited or no ability to obtain parts service for some retired autopilot course computers and the performance of the Evolution autopilots very much exceeds that of earlier Raymarine autopilot designs, it is strongly recommended that those seeking an autopilot for their vessel consider purchasing and installing an Evolution autopilot for the vessel. The Evolution autopilots are either compatible or may be adapted for use with the equipment which you have listed.
