connect a e127 MFD with e80 MFD
I am updating my electronics, the boat came with 2 e80 MFD's. The 2 MFD's were connected with a RS45 wire and one of the E80s was a slave to the other. I replace the main MFD with an E127, can I connect the two devices to the same network and have the E80 work as a slave again?

A little more info - I connected a new I50 Tridata using a NMEA back bone. I connected the ST6001 using a NMEA to Seatalk conversion kit. The GPS 125 is connected to the Seatalk network.

RE: connect a e127 MFD with e80 MFD
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum lduchscher,

Q1. If I replace the main MFD with an E127, can I connect the two devices to the same network and have the E80 work as a slave again?
A1. No. Please click here to view a FAQ addressing this subject. As indicated within the FAQ, should true dual station capability be required, then the E80 MFD would need to be replaced as well.
