Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Scott,

Unfortunately, the symptoms which you have described are indicative of a failure of the autopilot's control head. Depending upon the model of autopilot course computer which is presently installed onboard, it may be possible to replace the ST7000 autopilot control head with a p70S or p70R autopilot control head.
