RE: AutoPilot EV-150
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum

Q1. cable suppression ferrites all three close ACU
A1. Suppression ferrites may be installed on the motor A/B leads and power leads should RF noise be detected within the vessel's radios.

Q2. No RF ground connect to neg. terminal block
A2. Please click here to view a FAQ addressing this subject.

Q3. Rudder reference unit not needed with EV-150
A3. While not generally necessary, maximum performance of the autopilot will typically be achieved when the system is fitted with a rudder reference transducer

Q4. Motor drive no fuse required
A4. Correct

Q5. Motor connection to ACU would be A is Red and B is black
A5. Drive actuators feature reversing DC motors. Accordingly, the leads have no specific assignment with respect to the ACU's Motor A/B terminals. When testing the drive, should commanding the autopilot to turn cause the rudder/outboard/lower unit to move in the incorrect direction, then connection of the drive actuator's leads to the ACU's Motor A/B terminals should be reversed.
