Ray 230 update
From what I have been reading in the Forum, I have a Ray 230 and it appears I can't replace the handset but must replace the whole unit. So, what is the recommended replacement? Will I have to replace the External Speaker as well? I presume that the antenna fitting will work on the suggested replacement.
While I'm at it, I have just purchased my 2003 420 Sundancer and don't know where the hailer is located -- assuming all such vessels came with a hailer, will the suggested Ray 230 replacement connect to the hailer? Ritz Sea |

RE: Ray 230 update
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Ritz Sea,
The Ray230 was Raymarine's first modular VHF radio system. Its current replacement is the Ray260. Replacement of the Ray230 will also require replacement of its speakers. Should the currently installed VHF antenna be operational, then it may be retained for use with the Ray260. The Ray260 is also designed to function a hailer base station. |
