[CA11] AIS Connection Lost
My AIS 500, connected to an E80 and an E120 has begun sending "AIS Connection Lost" Alarms. I am in the process of moving my boat north. I will investigate antenna issues today, but if I am unable to repair the AIS today, I MUST find a way to stop this alarm from sounding every 2 minutes! Thanks, Bill

RE: [CA11] AIS Connection Lost
Welcome back to the Raymarine Forum Bill,

Unfortunately, there is no way to block the reported alarm short of switching power OFF to the AIS transceiver or blocking communications between the AIS transceiver and the MFD. The latter may be accomplished by simply configuring the NMEA 0183 Port setting of the MFD which has been directly interfaced to the AIS transceiver to "NMEA 4800".

RE: [CA11] AIS Connection Lost
Chuck,
Thank you very much. Until I can find the actual problem, I have changed the NMEA Port setting to 4800. With your expertise, a little luck and a prayer, hopefully I get no more alarms.
Sincerely, Bill Judge
