[CA11] powering quantum
We had a difficult time trying to get Quantum to pair to the axiom screen. The message said no radar detected. I read online to make sure the quantum was turned on first. We assumed that the electronics switch at the helm turned this on. We discovered through process of elimination that the quantum only shut off when the turned the house battery off in the back of the boat. Once we turned that on and off it allowed us to connect to the axiom. Is this the correct way of doing it. It works but seems odd! We have a brand new 2018 boat.

RE: [CA11] powering quantum
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Jvale,
Please click here to view a FAQ addressing this subject. Per the information specified within the referenced FAQ, it is recommended that radomes and open array pedestals be powered from a dedicated power circuit, permitting power to the radomes and open array pedestal to be switched ON/OFF without affecting the power state of the system's other marine electronics devices. |
