While it would seem technically possible to do as you have suggested with a p70/p70R autopilot control head, no meaningful heading data or rudder angle data would be displayed on the control head. We feel that the better solution would be to retain the currently installed hydraulic pump and instead interface it to an Evolution ACU-100. The ACU-100 would be interfaced to an EV-1 CCU and a p70R Autopilot Control Head via a powered SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 backbone which has been constructed from SeaTalkng networking components.
