[CA11] CPT-S transducers.. more info please
Hi, What is the scoop on the new E70340/1 transducers? They appear to be similar to the B175.
What is the advantage over a B60 vs a CPT high freq 2" unit vs the B60 etc. No down vision with these E70341/0 ducers I take it? My client is looking for downvision thruhull bronze for the axiom, but does not want expense of side vision (he would need a pair if this were the case as keel is in the way and no spot for center mount single unit) shallow freshwater <200 ft. 38' Clorox bottle f/b thanks Chuck |

RE: [CA11] CPT-S transducers.. more info please
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum NWMI,
The technology within the CPT-S transducers is essentially the same 200W high frequency CHIRP sonar technology found within the conical CHIRP components of the RealVision and DownVision transducers. However, unlike the latter transducers, the CPT-S transducer are limited to supporting low power high frequency conical CHIRP sonar imaging (i.e. no support for DownVision, RealVision, or SideVision). The imaging produced by the CPT-S transducers would be similar to that of the B60, but produce better detail. CPT-S should support the operational depths which you have specified. These low profile transducers make them the choice for those seeking low power bottom tracking / fishfinding capability who are not seeking to install a DownVision or RealVision transducer. These transducers are particularly popular with sailboaters seeking a graphical representation of the bottom. |
