[LW11] DTS800 Not flush in fitting.
Hi
I’ve had a new DTS800 speed/depth transducer fitted but with the yellow ‘O’ ring fitted it does not fit flush in the thru-hull fitting which has a flap valve. It’s screwed down tight. I’ve tried the black ‘O’ ring, it fits flush but it then leaks. The transducer and yellow ring are well lubricated with the lube provided. Does anyone know how to get the transducer to sit flush in the housing? Regards Brian |

Thanks Louise
I’ll take a look at this on Monday with the engineer who did the fitting. However, I wonder if as the bulletin is still valid as it’s from 2005 and 14 years old! Thanks for the advice. Brian |

RE: [LW11] DTS800 Not flush in fitting.
Hi Louise
It appears that the strong arm of the engineer was required to put another three turns on the transducer fitted get it seated properly in the housing. So it’s now sorted. The yellow o-ring and a good hard screw down we’re needed. Regards Brian |
