smartstick output
circa '05 st6001, smartpilot, flux gate compass, teleflex smartstick linear reference.
currently rudder position is not showing up on the ST6001 (worked great last year), I went through the user settings and it is turned on. teleflex smart stick is getting power and returns 2.4V at either max steering settings. Should the voltage vary from full starboard to full port? Is there any checks to verify it is functioning (ohms, volts), how about the smart pilot (ohms volts)? thanks, Dave |

RE: smartstick output
You will have to contact Teleflex to discuss troubleshooting techniques with their linear rudder reference sensor.
There isn't any test in the field to test the course computer, but the course computer is looking for a range of resistance between port and starboard to display rudder reference data. |

Then connect a multimeter connected to white wire and measure the voltage you’re getting going from hard over to hard over. You should be getting a reading of 2.2v from hard over going to 2.8v to hard over to the other side. If You’re unable to get this reading then the smart stick is at fault. |
