Dear gerard143,
Thank you for your post. Lighthouse 3 is evolving with each software release that happen frequently, one of our main focus areas are sailing features and the night palette. This is due to be released but I cannot give a timeframe, the night palette is a frequently requested feature. The design of the Axiom is to reduce the back lighting to minimum when cruising at night, on an Axiom if you swipe the power button you will see the screen brightness bar and the ability to adjust it.
