[CA11] Axiom installation
I'm going to retire my old C80 and install a new Axiom 9. My mind is a little foggy about what all I need to buy for this. It looks like besides the unit itself, I will need a new through-hull transducer for downscan and sidescan, a sonar box and a new GPS antenna since my unit location will be under a hardtop and the old antenna is unreliable. Do I have this about right. I'm on the Raymarine site gathering my information on what to order and how much it will cost. I'm also considering a certified Raymarine installer, although this is going to add considerable cost to this project. Any help is appreciated.

RE: [CA11] Axiom installation
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum,
Please click here to view a FAQ addressing replacement of an C-Series Classic MFD with an Axiom MFD. Q1. To ensure that I can advise correctly, please respond with the following information: - has a DSM250, DSM30, or DSM300 been installed onboard? If so, which one of these DSMs is installed onboard? Is the DSM operational? - what is the maximum depth of water to be fished? - what type of propulsion does the boat feature (inboard, outboard, I/O)? - what is the deadrise of the hull? |
