EV-100 or EV-200
I have a 2007 320hp Mercruiser mx 6.2 MPI Bravo III MCM. I am trying to figure out which Autiopilot to purchase for trolling on the Chesapeake Bay. I will also connect it to my NMEA 2000 backbone which has a Raymarine Axiom. Any suggestions?

I contacted Mercury and they provided the following:

The MC Steering Cylinder is an unbalanced design.

Bore Dia: 1.382”

Rod Dia: .562”

Full Stroke: 7.98”

Extend Area: 1.500 In2

Retract Area: 1.252 In2

Extend Volume: 11.97 In3

Retract Volume: 9.99 In3

What do I need to find out regarding compatibility with my engine? Thanks

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Stan,

Mercruiser steering systems are quite commonly powered assisted cable steered. I believe that the cylinder capacity data provided is that for the power steering ram. Does your boat feature a mechanical helm or a hydraulic helm? If this is not known, it is recommended that the boat's manufacturer be contacted to provide this information.
