Hi, what transponder set up would produce the best performance out of a ES98? The boat is a 33' single shaft driven prop. 30knts, max depth 300'

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Pugwash North,
While it is possible to interface the MFD to an external fishfinder sounder module to support SideVision sonar imaging (via CPT200 w/CPT-200 xducer), 600W/1kW 50kHz/200 conical sonar imaging (via CP370 w/compatible xducer), or 1kW CHIRP sonar imaging (via CP470/570 w/compatible xducer), the internal fishfinder circuitry of the ax8 and eSx8 MFDs is exclusively designed for use with DownVision transducers and CPT-S transducers. A thru-hull DownVision transducer would typically be recommended for this application. |
