[CA11] DST800V triducer Deadrise angle
Hi,
I am preparing to install an i70 multi system pack on my Catalina 30 sailboat. The documentation for the DST800V triducer states a maximum deadrise angle of 20 degrees. The suitable location on a fin keel bottom is in front of the keel but this area on my boat has a deadrise angle of 25 degrees. Can I still install it flush to the bottom at that angle? Thanks, Gavin |

RE: [CA11] DST800V triducer Deadrise angle
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Gavin,
It is not recommended that sonar transducers be mounted to hull surfaces having a deadrise which is outside of the specified deadrise range for the sonar transducer. Failure to heed this recommendation can and typically does result in poor sonar performance. |

Thanks Chuck. Does Raymarine sell plastic fairings that could be used to angle the installation? I haven’t been able to locate one in my on line searches.

Gavin,
Raymarine does not offer fairing blocks for the DST800 transducers. |
