Hi svonset,
the three dashes indicate the display is not reading the transducer, assuming the transducer is connected to this display and all the connections are secure and the cable is not damaged, then it sounds like the transducer is faulty. You have said the speed is being displayed correctly on the i70, do you have the speed and depth transducer connected to an itc-5 transducer box? if yes, then the i50 tridata should be set to repeater mode. if in repeater mode it still does not display data, then check the STng network, maybe a terminator is missing or there is some break in the backbone or spur cable or the connectors are not making good contact? Thanks Derek. Could be a bad cable after all. I’ll try to run a new one and/or redo the connection. Will keep you posted. Do you get to go to the Annapolis boat show?
