SeaTalkng, RayNet, and Digital Radar cable and plug dimensions
SeaTalkng, RayNet, and Digital Radar cable and plug dimensions
Note: when chasing cables, it is generally recommended that - cables having the larger diameter plugs be chased before chasing cables having smaller diameter plugs - should a cable feature plugs of different diameters on each end of the cable, then end of the cable having the smaller diameter plug should be chased - should one end of a cable terminate in bare leads instead of a plug, then the end of the cable having bare leads should be chased - cable pulling aids (ex. R70014 RayNet Cable Pullers, an assembly constructed from a SeaTalkng Inline Terminator and a SeaTalkng Termination Pug (drilled to accept a line for chasing, shrink tubing over bare leads and addition of a chasing wire under shrink tubing, etc.) should be used to aid chasing and protect plugs - the cable's leads and plugs should be protected from damage - cables should not be subjected to a bend radius which is less than that specified within the product's installation guide. - kinking of communications be avoided as it can permanently damage cables - cable chasing lubricant be used to prevent binding SeaTalkng Backbone and Spur cables have the following approximate dimensional characteristics: - cable diameter: 0.250" - plug diameter: 0.450" - plug length: 1.460" SeaTalkng T-Pieces have the following approximate dimensional characteristics: - Length (backbone port to backbone port): 2.270" - Height (base to spur port: 1.450" - Thickness: 0.830" RayNet, SeaTalkhs, and Digital Radar Cable terminated with a RJ45 (M) plug: RJ45 plug height: 0.400" RJ45 plug width: 0.550" length: 1.250" SeaTalkhs Cable - cable diameter: 0.230" - waterproof coupler diameter: 1.250" - waterproof coupler length: 2.090" RayNet Cables are available in RayNet to RayNet and RayNet to RJ45. These cables have the following approximate dimensional characteristics: - cable diameter: 0.230" - RayNet plug diameter: 0.710" - RayNet plug length: 1.680 Digital Radar Cables are available in RayNet (F) plug or with RJ45 plug. These cables have the following approximate dimensional characteristics: - cable diameter: 0.480" - Digital Radar plug diameter: 0.790" RAYFAQ# |
