The Ethernet ports of MFDs are always live (i.e. there is no user interface provided to switch them ON/OFF). These ports rarely fail and may easily be tested by interfacing the MFD's Ethernet socket(s) to a compatible Raymarine product having an Ethernet communications interface. |
