RE: CP470 wired directly to power
Larry,
Q1. If I reading it correctly the MFD controls power to the transducer? A1. More specifically, MFD controls whether the CP470/570 will ping. As verified this morning, the CP470 ceased pinging of the interfaced transducer within approximately 30 seconds of the communications being lost with the MFD (in this case the MFD was switched OFF). A2. when The cp470 still shows power to it by flashing Aber. How does the MFD control power to transducer if CP470 is powered directly from battery and not powered through the MFD. A2. See the response to Q1. Essentially, the software within the CP470/570 is designed to prohibit pinging of the interfaced transducers whenever the CP470/570 is not communicating with the MFD. As such, it is completely satisfactory to power the CP470/570 via a direct connection to the battery. |
