Hi Udo,
Thank you for the enquiry, The normal practice is to cut the cable at the bottom of the mast, leave the cable long enough to run through a gland in the deck and then join the cable inside the boat, (where it is dry), in a waterproof junction box. This will enable the cable to be disconnected at the bottom of the mast when it is removed for winter lay up. regards Derek |
