Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Peter,
In the Forum thread which you had referenced, the NMEA 0183 wind source was being interfaced to the long retired E85001 PC/SeaTalk/NMEA 0183 Interface Module to which the autopilot was interfaced. As such, the PC/SeaTalk/NMEA 0183 Interface Module rather than the ST2000 was functioning as a NMEA 0183 to SeaTalk data bridge. In the absence of a PC/SeaTalk/NMEA 0183 Interface Module within your system (or third party SeaTalk to NMEA 0183 data bridging device), a product capable of transmitting the NMEA 0183 VWR sentence would be required. |
