Should you be seeking to interface the SeaTalk version of the Raystar 120 GPS Sensor to the MFD, then you will indeed need to interface the GPS sensor to the MFD's 6-pin SeaTalk/Alarm Cable. Should you be seeking to interface the NMEA 0183 version of the Raystar 120 GPS Sensor to the MFD, then you will indeed need to interface the GPS sensor to the MFD's 5-pin NMEA 0183 Cable. The leads would not be interfaced in the manner which you have suggested. Please refer to the first chart (labeled SeaTalk) within my initial response regarding how to power and interface the Raystar 120 GPS Sensor. Should the Raystar 120 GPS Sensor not be operational, then it is recommended that it be replaced with a Raystar 130 GPS Sensor per the FAQ found here. |
