Welcome to the Raymarine Forum echow,
Should one have the NMEA 0183 version of the Raystar 120 GPS Sensor, then it's NMEA 0183 output may indeed be parallel to provide GPS data to the Raymarine MFD and to the VHF radio. This method of installation is commonly used within systems where concept of operations includes use of the VHF radio while the system's other marine electronics (except for the GPS sensor) have been switched OFF. |
